Stop the Killings! Human rights activist murdered in Pakistan

Ms. Perveen Rahman was a social and economic campaigner with the Orangi Pilot Project, who worked in the poor working class communities of Karachi. One of the most recent projects that Ms Rahman had been involved in was to document land dispossession and repression by religious extremists. On the 13 March, Ms Rehman was shot dead by motor bike assailants. Unfortunately a growing climate of impunity is leading an increase in the number of activists murdered by powerful interests in Pakistan.
