International Women's Day

Unions have always been at the forefront in the battle for equality. Unions fight for equal pay for women, against discrimination in big multinational companies like Nestle, and opening up opportunities and providing support in non traditional workplaces. To mark International Women’s Day and continue the struggle of women world wide, Gabriella Philippines organised a protest and march of thousands of women against the rising price of oil and the ripple effect of rising prices of food, goods and services.  You can read Gabriella Philippines’ IWD statement here.  In Pakistan, women rallied and marched to end the economic exploitation of women workers.
