Indian workers refuse to be strike breakers

In a fantastic show of solidarity and global organising, sugar workers in the Indian states of Karnataka and Maharashtra have held protest rallies against the plan by the Fiji Sugar Corporation to recruit sugar mill engineers to break a strike in Fiji by sugar workers. The strike in Fiji is for higher wages and the Karnataka Sugar Workers Federation (KSWF), has not only declared solidarity with Fijian sugar workers but condemned management’s use of the military to try and break the strike.
