Cambodian government issues warning to unions

Cambodia’s government is engaged in a serious anti-union offensive and earlier this year introduced the infamous New Labour Law.  Negotiations have commenced for a national minimum wage in the garment sector, which in 2014 saw the arrest of 23 workers and the death of four people.  This time around, the government has issued a warning to unions that if they strike, workers will be arrested.
