Korean workers deported from Taiwan

As reported last week, Korean workers that were employed by electronic company Hydis, took their action to Taiwan in order to pressure the company and fight for their jobs. The workers demonstrated outside both the company’s headquarters and the Taipei Parliament, as well as engaging in a hunger strike. Unfortunately, the Taiwanese government this week deported the workers back to South Korea notwithstanding solidarity protests by Taiwanese labour activists. The South Korean workers have vowed to keep fighting.
