Korea holds National Workers Rally

On November 11 over 10,000 workers gathered in downtown Seoul for the annual National Workers Rally. The national rally is held annually on the second weekend of November to commemorate the death of labour activist Jeon Tae-il on November 13 1970. On the same day the Seoul Migrant Trade Union held a rally. In Korea a large amount of manual labour is performed by migrant workers from developing countries. These workers are often paid horrible wages (if they get paid at all) and are highly exploited. The MTU rally met up with the main rally in Seoul station.
