International support for Fiji trade unionists

On Friday 2 September workers in Australia held rallies in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne to protest against the Fiji military regime’s ongoing attacks on workers’ rights, including the recent arrest of the President of the Fiji Trades Union Congress, Daniel Urai.

These rallies were part of a global day of action co-ordinated by the International Trade Union Confederation with thousands of unionists from here and across the world having already sent protest emails to the Bainimarama Government. More details here.
