Dismissed Japanese Airline workers not giving up the fight

It’s been almost three years since over 150 workers were summarily dismissed from Japan Airlines, but they have not given up the fight for reinstatement. The dismissals came as the company took advantage of the economic crisis to shift the costs to its employees and maintain its profitability. In the course of this time, numerous solidarity rallies have been held, including a public meeting just a few weeks ago. This fight is just one of the many that are happening in the airlines industry as companies try to increase profits and cut costs. Only co-ordinated global action by airline workers will stop this constant ‘race to the bottom’.
