Crown Holdings tries to bust unions in Turkey and Canada

Workers in Turkey are once again experiencing the heavy force of union busting, this time by company Crown Holdings (Crown). Crown is one of the biggest metal container companies in the world producing cans for beverage and food products right across the world.  Members of Birlesik Metal-Is, an IndustriALL affiliate, managed to obtain a collective bargaining agreement in November 2012 but Crown is now trying to bust the union by tying them up in legal proceedings.

Crown workers in Canada are also in dispute with Crown. Workers international solidarity,  such as the work that has been developed on the Global Picketline, is the only way to take on a global company like Crown. IndustriALL is co-ordinating a campaign to stop Crown’s attacks against workers.
