PepsiCo union busting in India

The global food and beverage company PepsiCo has a history of anti union activities. India is only one of many countries where workers have been targeted over the years by PepsiCo for attempting to unionise. More recently, in 2008, workers in Chennai had to fight a month long lockout to secure the reinstatement of their colleagues. Warehouse workers in Kolkata are now fighting the dismissal of 162 workers for exercising their right to join a union. Co-ordinated industrial action across PepsiCo global operations will be the most effective way for workers to win.
