Military continues to extend reign of repression in Thailand

It has been almost two months since the military coup in Thailand and the military is continuing to suppress dissent via detaining and arresting people. Many activists have reportedly fled the country. In recent news, Thanapol Eawsakul, a journal editor was detained for a second time and made to sign a pledge of neutrality. Popular singer Thanat Thanawatcharanon has been charged under both Lese Majeste and the Computer Crimes Act. In the meantime, the military and the Electoral Commission are redrafting the election laws so as to prevent ‘undesirables’ to stand for elections.

No to the military!
Free all political prisoners!
Organising is not a crime!
