Migrant workers in South Korea oppose new laws

The south Korean Government plans to amend the laws governing migrant workers ability to change employment while in south Korea. While the government states that this will be to workers interest, in actual effect the new laws will further restrict migrant workers’ ability to change workplaces and further repress their right to free choice of employment. The results will be that migrant workers will be even more tightly chained to employers, and forced to endure terrible conditions with no means of escape.
