Indian workers fight for union recognition

Unilever are at it again.  Two years ago, Unilever signed an agreement with the IUF promising to recognise the independent union of the workers of Doom Dooma, Assam (India), in all collective bargaining negotiations.  Now, Unilever is about to commit to a 4 year deal with the company’s union in a move that will effectively crush the independent organising of workers in the factory.  The IUF is calling for international support.
