Bangladesh workers and families will finally begin to receive compensation

The killing of over 1,200 garment workers in the collapse of the Rana Plaza building almost a year ago was a terrible example of the conditions that garment workers have to endure. One of the campaigns from that disaster has been to get the companies involved in those factories to pay compensation to the injured workers and the families of those killed. The first payments will now begin, though some companies, like Benetton, are still refusing to pay any damages.
