Bahrain workers and activists continue to face repression

While Bahraini teachers’ leaders, Mahdi Abu Deeb and Jalila al-Salman, are waiting to hear the outcome of their appeal against their ten and three year sentences respectively, harassments and arrests against other activists continue. On 14 October, five jailed health workers started a hunger strike to protest against their arrests and jailing. They are also protesting against the mistreatment they have received while in jail.
