Ark Tribe: Not Guilty – Abolish the ABCC

After an 18-month campaign, Ark Tribe has been found not guilty of charges filed against him by the anti-union building industry watchdog, the ABCC. Ark faced a possible prison sentence for allegedly failing to comply with the commission, who used their extraordinary powers to ask him to a secret interrogation. Calls to abolish the ABCC completely have been strengthened by his victory. Among the many messages of support sent to Ark was one sent via the CFMEU from the Federation of Workers’ Councils and Unions in Iraq which read in part: "Your struggle is ours, so your victory and success is ours as well."
