Another death in Australia’s concentration camps

Australia’s brutal treatment of asylum seekers and refugees has claimed another victim, with the death of an Iranian Kurdish man, Fazel Chegeni. He had been detained in the detention facility on Christmas Island. A riot subsequently broke out in the detention centre with asylum seekers protesting against the conditions of their incarceration. Fazel’s death comes only weeks after the suicide of Khodayar Amin, the latest casualty. Protests against this death were held in all major cities including Melbourne and Sydney. In addition, there are reports that refugees are now being systematically denied medical help and having their communication restricted
