Anniversary of Rana Plaza

It is almost two years ago that the single greatest industrial massacre in the world occurred in Dhaka, Bangladesh when the Rana Plaza building collapsed. The building housed a number of textile factories and over 1,100 garment workers were killed in the collapse. Hundreds more were injured. Compensation payments to the relatives of the dead and the survivors have been slow in coming while the factory owners and the builders of Rana Plana are yet to face trial for their crimes. Events will be held around the world, including Melbourne and Sydney to remember the dead and to demand justice.
