Protests erupt in Turkey again following death of 15 year old child

Hundreds of thousands of people came out for the funeral and commemoration marches all over Turkey after the death of Berkin Elvan. Berkin was hit by a tear gas canister in June 2013 at the height of the Gezi Park protests in Istanbul, and had been in a coma ever since. His death reawakened workers’ anger against the Turkish government. Many of the marchers were met by police baton charges and tear gas, with hundreds of arrests.
