Since mid February, 40 Days for Life “vigils" have targeted the Fertility Control Clinic plus clinics in Sydney and Brisbane. In East Melbourne, clinic staff and clients, passers-by and the neighbourhood are fed up with the harassment. Last month, clinic defenders fended off zealots who tried to stalk every young woman within eye-shot — clients of the clinic, local residents and workers, and visitors to the area.
